The HUC is pleased to welcome Andrew Turner as our new Board chair commencing September 1, 2024.
Andrew is Commercial Sector Sales leader at Amazon Business, where he leads Demand Generation, Inside Sales, and the Small and Medium Business (SMB) and Channel Sales teams. Andrew joined Amazon over nine years ago. In that time, he has expanded Alexa’s language capabilities to customers outside of the U.S. by supporting new languages and device launches, and has also led Amazon Canada’s Softlines business, with responsibility for the overall management, operation, and growth of product categories including clothing, shoes, jewelry, watches, and luggage. Before Amazon, Andrew worked at Eddie Bauer where he launched the First Ascent brand, founded his own business (Workshop Shirt Company), and began his career at Bain & Company.
Andrew is passionate about issues related to racial and social justice, and has served in volunteer and leadership roles on the Hingham Unity Council since 2021, and at his church as a leader of the Becoming Beloved Community ministry. He lives in Hingham with his wife, Jody, and two teenage kids (Jack, Dillon), and a sweet Bernese Mountain Dog named Molly. Andrew considers himself an aspiring DIY-er, and in his free time enjoys running, backpacking, gardening, men’s league ice hockey, and Chicago sports (go Cubs/Bears/Hawks!).
