The HUC is pleased to announce its 2025 Scholarship Winners.
Daniel Davis (pictured on the left) is the winner of the HUC Camilla Roundtree METCO Scholarship. Along with notable scholastic achievement, Daniel has been described as a talented leader with a genuine commitment to a variety of activities at Hingham High School, including the HHS Unity Project, where he was an important contributor and also served as a ninth grade mentor. He has made strong friendships at HHS as well as community connections. He also does service work outside of school in community violence prevention. Daniel heads to Morehouse College this fall.
Tala Sanford (pictured on the right) is the winner of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Scholarship. She is a talented violinist, a dancer, the co-president of the HHS Arts Pathway, co-founder and co-President of the Women in STEM Club, and the Treasurer of the People of Color and Allies Club at HHS, among other achievements. She was described to us as hard-working, yet very empathetic and caring of her fellow students, as well as a gifted writer and storyteller. Tala is heading to Harvard College this fall.
