Let’s Talk Housing with State Representative Joan Meschino

Virtual via Zoom

What is affordable housing? Can our children afford to remain in, or return to, the community as they start their own households? Are special needs populations given adequate housing options? Do our elderly residents have adequate alternatives for remaining in the community as they age? Is there a housing shortage on the South Shore and who is most likely to be impacted? How does housing shortage impact our environment, including the cultural composition of our town’s population? The Hingham Unity Council is thrilled to host Massachusetts State Representative Joan Meschino to understand the direction our state is headed in providing quality housing to a broad spectrum of residents. Please join us on Zoom on Tuesday, December 8 at 7:00 PM. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88121818988 Meeting ID: 881 2181 8988

Hingham Families of Color presents Zoom Cooking v. 1.0

Virtual via Zoom

Spend an afternoon cooking with members of our community from around the world as they share about their culture and cuisines and as they lead you in preparing their chosen dish. Currently, this “pilot” is being offered to the HFC community only as an opportunity for our members to get to know each other. We hope to create more of these events for the greater community.
