Please join the Hingham Unity Council in partnership with the Hingham High School Anti-Defamation League in a community read and virtual discussion of Beverly Daniel Tatum's landmark book "Why are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria? And Other Conversations About Race."
We have partnered with METCO to host a roundtable discussion by Zoom to talk about the academic opportunity gap affecting our students of color in Hingham, including our Hingham METCO students.
What is affordable housing? Can our children afford to remain in, or return to, the community as they start their own households? Are special needs populations given adequate housing options? Do our elderly residents have adequate alternatives for remaining in the community as they age? Is there a housing shortage on the South Shore and who is most likely to be impacted? How does housing shortage impact our environment, including the cultural composition of our town’s population? The Hingham Unity Council is thrilled to host Massachusetts State Representative Joan Meschino to understand the direction our state is headed in providing quality housing to a broad spectrum of residents. Please join us on Zoom on Tuesday, December 8 at 7:00 PM. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88121818988 Meeting ID: 881 2181 8988
